Plan your 2010 compensation
The 2010 Private Equity Compensation Report is the leading authority on compensation trends and statistics for the US Private Equity and Venture Capital industry. Published annually, it is the only compensation study of its kind that offers a look ahead to compensation trends.
Unlike other reports, the data in our report is not derived from surveys of past data. Instead, the 2010 Private Equity Compensation Report derives its data from 4 sources:
- a combination of actual placements data
- candidate data maintained by Glocap (including expected bonus information and offers/acceptances for future start dates)
- input from Glocap recruiters who are familiar with compensation in their fields of expertise and whose base of knowledge includes going forward offers/acceptances for future start dates
- input from fund professionals and human resources personnel who are on top of the latest offers going out to candidates.
This report gives exclusive insight into the compensation packages being paid by later-stage private equity buyout/growth equity), early-stage venture capital firms and private equity fund of funds as well as what those firms are offering to candidates for future start dates. We wait to publish our report until we know the information in it is the most reliable, and precise data. For example, this year many funds that were hiring at the pre-MBA level did not begin hiring until after the summer. Through our extensive network of recruiters who cover the industry, and contacts at funds we are able to capture the most up-to-date data and present it in the report. The report offers compensation analysis segmented by five different fund sizes for Analysts, Associates, Senior Associates, Vice Presidents, Principals, Partners, CFOs, Controllers and Admin/Executive Assistants.
Heres what others think about Glocaps Private Equity Compensation study:
Accurate, detailed and relevant VC/PE compensation information is very difficult to obtain. In my view, the Glocap report is the best source of data by a wide margin.”
- Ed Colloton, Partner and COO, Bessemer Venture Partners
“In the PE and HF space, solid compensation analysis is hard to come by. The Glocap publications remain, in my opinion, the most accurate”
- Colin H. Mincy, Human Resources Executive, Oak Hill Capital
